Moore Gains Speed With ASCS At Steve King Memorial
DODGE CITY, Kan. (July 10, 2023) A weekend high runner-up finish after leading nearly half of Friday's A-Feature, Howard Moore ended his weekend at Dodge City Raceway Park with a pair of top ten finishes and the season's eight top five.
In command the first 11 laps on Friday, July 7, quick moves in traffic allowed Jason Martin to take command. Challenging for the point on Lap 20, Moore would have to settle for silver.
Seventh the following night, as the field raced the rain, Qualifying put Moore third in the opening Heat, where a slip to fourth buried the AR Dyno Specialty No. 3 eleventh on the grid. Working forward four spots, Howard made it to seventh over the course of 30 laps.
The team will race close to home this weekend as the American Sprint Car Series presented by RacinDirt.com, heads for Muskogee's Thunderbird Speedway on Friday, July 14, then Batesville Motor Speedway on Saturday, July 15.
