Inside Line Promotions – JACKSON, Minn. (May 21, 2020) – Brian Brown is planning a tripleheader in his home state of Missouri this weekend on the heels of a hectic night during the Great Lakes Shootout presented by Tweeter Contracting and Harvey’s Five Star Roofing last Friday at Jackson Motorplex.

May 15 – Jackson Motorplex in Jackson, Minn. – Qualifying: 5; Heat race: 5 (3); B Main: 4 (5).

“We qualified decent and then tried to go from third to second in the heat race because every spot matters,” Brown said. “I didn’t complete the pass and lost two spots, which kept us from locking into the main event and made us run a B Main. That’s part of it. You can’t pass them if you follow them.

“In the B Main I got a great start and got into a transfer spot, but wasn’t good enough to hold them off. We worked real hard pre-Jackson to put our heads together as a team and what we thought would be good for Jackson wasn’t. With 55-plus great cars there if you are off it’s going to stick out.”

UP NEXT – Friday and Saturday at Federated Auto Parts Raceway at I-55 in Pevely, Mo., with the World of Outlaws NOS Energy Drink Sprint Car Series and Sunday at Lake Ozark Speedway in Eldon, Mo., with the ASCS Warrior Region and ASCS Sooner Region

“We have been real good and real bad in Pevely,” Brown said. “We put our heads together again as a team this week. If we keep swinging we’re going to land a punch soon. We’re also excited to get back there and race in front of our great fans.

“The plan is to race at Lake Ozark on Sunday if the weather cooperates. We’re hoping to race in front of fans also. There are lots who don’t get to see us race much anymore.”
