Inside Line Promotions – LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (May 16, 2018) – Harli White capped last week’s busy schedule with a solid rebound during a Lucas Oil ASCS National Tour presented by SawBlade.com event at I-30 Speedway.

“All weekend we had a goal just to finish every race,” she said.

Saturday’s event got off to a good start for White, who maneuvered from seventh to fourth place in a heat race to lock into the 13th starting position in the A Main.

“We went forward in the heat race, but we got spun out in the first corner of the first lap to start the main event,” she said. “We had to go to the back. I was pushing it every lap. The car was working and we were doing good. I felt like we had a lot faster car than where we finished.”

White rallied from the opening-lap incident to charge from last – 25th – to a 13th-place result.

It was a great turnaround from how last week started on Wednesday at Humboldt Speedway in Humboldt, Kan., where White placed seventh in a heat race before advancing a couple of positions to end 17th in the ASCS National Tour A Main.

“It was a struggle all night there,” she said.

The team ventured to Lakeside Speedway in Kansas City, Kan., for another ASCS National Tour race on Thursday. White opened the night by maneuvering from fourth to second place in a heat race. That earned a spot in the feature redraw. She pulled the No. 6 to start the main event on the outside of the third row.

“We had a really good heat race and got a good starting spot in the A Main,” she said. “Unfortunately, we broke a cam shaft in the motor, which caused us to have a DNF. It’s really important not to have DNFs since we’re racing for points.

“We had some problems with our generator and our trailer last weekend so it was just tough overall. I’m hoping we have all the bugs worked out of everything, the truck and trailer and race car.”

White will race close to home this weekend when she tackles Creek County Speedway in Sapulpa, Okla., on Friday and Lawton Speedway in Lawton, Okla., on Saturday with the ASCS Red River Region.
