Bryant Ready for a Variety of Tracks This Weekend with ASCS Gulf South
Inside Line Promotions – THE WOODLANDS, Texas (May 23, 2016) – The beauty of dirt track racing is the variety of the size and shape of the tracks. For sprint car driver Tommy Bryant the challenge of the different driving styles it takes to tackle these conditions is exciting.
Bryant and his SawBlade.com sponsored Cooper Motorsports team will face unique race tracks this coming weekend during three nights of ASCS Gulf South Region competition in Texas.
“I’m looking forward to the variety of tracks we will compete on this weekend,” he said. “We will go from a tiny short track at RPM Speedway to a fast half mile at Devil’s Bowl to a unique quarter mile at Lone Star.”
The action gets underway on Friday when the Griffith Truck & Equipment ASCS Gulf South Region will visit RPM Speedway in Crandall. The tour then heads to Devil’s Bowl Speedway in Mesquite on Saturday before wrapping up the weekend on Sunday at Lone Star Speedway in Kilgore.
Bryant is fresh for the tripleheader after taking this past weekend off from racing to spend time with his family.
“I took my wife to a concert and spent time with the family,” he said. “During the heart of the racing season a lot of family stuff gets put on hold so I want to take advantage of the opportunities when I can.”
Bryant and his crew did work on the race car over the past week in preparation for the busy weekend.
“We did a couple of little things, but other than that we are ready to rock,” he said.
Bryant is currently third in the ASCS Gulf South Region points standings and he ranks 12th in the Lucas Oil ASCS National Tour standings.
