Blake Hahn Caps Off Weekend With Runner-up At Super Bowl Speedway

SAPULPA, Okla. (April 15, 2015) This past weekend proved productive for Blake Hahn. Competing with the ASCS Red River Region in Oklahoma and Texas, the Lucas Oil Products No. 52 raced to a pair of top-tens.
Taking on the Creek County Speedway in Sapulpa, Okla. on Friday, Hahn placed seventh at the quarter-mile.
“We had a good car, just not a whole lot of passing. The track was really tacky but we were able to get it rolling towards the end of the race on the top,” said Hahn. “I was up to fifth, but I screwed up going into [turn] one and biked up. That let a couple cars get back by me, but overall it wasn't a bad run."
Debuting at the Super Bowl Speedway in Greenville, Texas the following night, Blake was able to race from sixth to second behind Seth Bergman.
“We were running the bottom, but so where the lapped cars and Seth just went where everyone else wasn’t. When he passed me, I moved up there and tried the same line. I wasn't as good as Seth, but I was better than I was on the bottom and was able to sneak by Tony Bruce towards the end for second."
Looking to get back to work with the Lucas Oil ASCS National Tour this weekend, Blake will make his first visit to the high-banked Randolph County Raceway in Moberly, Mo. on Saturday, April 18. “I’ve watch a few videos from Moberly, and it looks fast. I’m looking forward to seeing what we can do.”
