Midwest Region ends season with the Fall Brawl

Bryan Hulbert - TULSA, Okla. (September 17, 2013) The Speedway Motors Midwest Region concludes their 2013 season this weekend with the second running of the Fall Brawl at the I-80 Speedway in Greenwood, Neb.

A wildly successful event in 2012, a weekend total of 31 drivers took to the high banked, I-80 Speedway with Jack Dover and Jason Johnson split the weekend with each taking home $2,500 for their efforts.

The 2013 edition will again pay $2,500 each night, but this year’s event slated for Friday, September 20 and Saturday, September 21 will have a twist worth $20,000. The Durst Motorplex and Zoz Farms Double Down, Back-to-Back Challenge for any driver than can successfully sweep the weekend.

In addition to the chance at a $20,000 bonus, guaranteed bonuses for drivers come on the form of the Hard Charger award presented by Searsboro Telephone worth $750 each night plus another $1,000 for the Hotrod Paintless Dent Repair King of the Hill. The weekend also includes the Electrical Systems Podium Draw for $300 each night. Not a bad way to possibly earn $27,500.

Jack Dover enters the weekend with an 82 point advantage over Jordan Boston. If Dover can survive the weekend, he will mark his third season title in as many years, and fourth in series history. Tyler Drueke, Gregg Bakker, and Robby Wolfgang complete the top five in standings.

Joining the Speedway Motors Midwest Region will be Modifieds and Grand Nationals. According to a press release from I-80 Speedway, Tickets are $20 for Adults each night and $5 for kids ages 6-12. Kids 5 years and younger are admitted free. Two-day tickets are $25.

Gates open at 5:30 pm with racing at 7:15 P.M. I-80 Speedway is located one block north of Interstate 80 Exit 420. For more information, visit http://www.I-80speedway.com or call 402-342-3453.
