Season Opener Approaches for Griffith Truck and Equipment ASCS Gulf South Region
Bryan Hulbert - Tulsa, OK (March 12, 2012) - The Griffith Truck and Equipment ASCS Gulf South Region will kick off its eleventh year of competition with a pair of nights in the “Lone Star State”.
Golden Triangle Raceway Park in Beaumont, Texas will be the site of night one of the 2012 regional schedule with night two taking place on Saturday March 17th in Baytown, Texas at the Royal Purple Raceway.
The 2012 line up of events includes twenty-four dates in south Texas and Louisiana and will see Ray Allen Kulhanek returning to defend his crown. Taking the past two years, Kulhanek looks to make it three years in a row and his fourth championship overall.

(from motoramaspeedway.com (GTRP): Track Location: 1-10 take the College St exit head West. If you are on College Street, you are on Highway 90. Go about 9 miles. Physical Address: 16583 Highway 90, Beaumont, TX 77713
(from royalpurpleraceway.com): From Beaumont take the St. Hwy. 99 (Grand Parkway) exit which is exit #799. Take a left on St. Hwy. 99 and go under the freeway to the first exit which is FM 565. Take a right on FM 565 and Royal Purple Raceway will be on the right.
The 2012 season marks the 21st year of sanctioning Sprint Car racing for the American Sprint Car Series, which brings the best of Sprint Car racing to dozens of different tracks throughout the nation and into Canada. Anchored by the Lucas Oil Sprint Car Series, ASCS also consists of ten different Regions throughout the nation.
