KCP Racing was formed in 2013 by Bret Nehring and Matthew Barbara and in a short time has became a major force across the Midwest. After a successful stint regionally, the team opted to hit the road with the World of Outlaws in 2018 and 2019, before opting for a 'True Outlaw Schedule in 2020.
2016- Saw the team once again be a force to be reckoned with, taking home 11 feature wins and finishing 3rd in the Knoxville Raceway Championship.
2017- The team ran an ambitious schedule that saw them start out red hot during the early swing with the World of Outlaws. Turning attention to Knoxville Raceway, the team captured their second Track Championship.
2018- A milestone year for KCP Racing saw the team commit full-time to the World of Outlaws Craftsman Sprint Car Series. Claiming the World Finals opener feature event win, Madsen was crowned Rookie of the Year with the series.

2013- First World of Outlaw win at Deer Creek, MN with Ian Madsen
2014- Knoxville Raceway Champion with Ian Madsen
2015- Was highlighted by Ian Madsen and the KCP Racing team finishing 2nd in the inaugural National Sprint League.
2016- Was highlighted by Ian Madsen and the KCP Racing team taking home 11 feature wins, and finishing 3rd in the Knoxville Raceway points championship.
2017- Knoxville Raceway Champion- 11 Wins with Ian Madsen
2018- World of Outlaws Craftsman Sprint Car Series Rookie of the Year with Ian Madsen.
2019- World Of Outlaws series regulars with Ian Madsen and won feature event in Tulare, CA.
